Dental Bridges in Edmonds and Snohomish County

Restore your smile and bite with a custom dental bridge.

A missing tooth affects your ability to chew, speak clearly, and smile confidently. Dental bridges offer an effective way to replace one or more missing teeth by anchoring a replacement tooth to adjacent teeth. At Edmonds Dental Care, we create custom dental bridges that look natural, feel comfortable, and restore your smile’s function and beauty. We serve patients across Edmonds and Snohomish County.

What’s Included in Your Dental Bridge Process

Assessment and Treatment Planning

We’ll examine your missing tooth site and the adjacent teeth that will support the bridge. We’ll discuss bridge options, explain how the procedure works, and answer your questions.

Tooth Preparation, Impression and Mold

We’ll prepare the anchor teeth by removing a small amount of tooth structure so the bridge crowns fit properly. We’ll take a precise impression of your prepared teeth and the gap, matching the color to blend seamlessly with your natural teeth.

Temporary and Permanent Bridge Placement

While your permanent bridge is being created in our lab (typically one to two weeks), we’ll place a temporary bridge to protect your teeth and maintain function. Once your permanent bridge is ready, we’ll cement it permanently in place after checking the fit and bite.

How Long Do Dental Bridges Last?

With proper care, dental bridges typically last 5 to 15 years or longer.

FAQ

Dental Bridges FAQ

How long does the bridge process take?

The entire process typically takes two to three weeks from consultation to final placement.

Will my bridge feel natural?

Yes. Modern bridges are designed to feel and function like your natural teeth.

How do I care for my bridge?

Brush and floss carefully around your bridge, just like your natural teeth. Use a floss threader to clean under the bridge.

What’s the difference between a bridge and an implant?

A bridge uses adjacent teeth for support and requires no surgery. An implant replaces the missing tooth independently with a titanium post in the jaw. Bridges are typically less expensive but don’t last as long as implants.
